Job Title: School Youth Worker
Location: Manchester
Salary: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Forever Teaching is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Manchester, seeking a proactive and dedicated School Youth Worker.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about working with young people. You’ll support pupils across the school both in the classroom and during personal development sessions – and play a key role in boosting confidence, improving behaviour, and promoting engagement in learning.
The Role:
* Support pupils in the classroom alongside the teacher to maintain focus and positive behaviour
* Work with pupils outside of lessons on personal development, emotional regulation, and goal setting
* Provide 1:1 or small group support for those struggling with school engagement or social skills
* Step in to cover lessons where required (lesson plans provided)
* Act as a role model, mentor, and source of consistency for young people
* Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to help track and support progress
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a school, youth work, mentoring, or similar setting
* Calm, approachable, and firm when needed – someone who builds trust
* A strong communicator with the confidence to lead, motivate, and guide pupils
* Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced school environment
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
