Home & Community Tutor – Rochdale (OL11/OL12)
Support pupils outside of mainstream education and help them rediscover a love for learning.
We’re currently looking for compassionate and reliable tutors to support young learners across Rochdale who are unable to attend school. These pupils may be experiencing anxiety, medical needs, or social and emotional challenges that make classroom learning difficult.
As a tutor, you’ll provide one-to-one academic support—usually in English or Maths—within the pupil’s home or a quiet community setting such as a local library. This is not just about grades; it’s about connection, trust, and giving each young person the chance to succeed in a way that works for them.
This opportunity suits teachers or educators with experience and empathy, who are ready to step into a more flexible, personalised teaching role.
The role offers:
* Flexible hours between 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday
* £25–£30 per hour depending on experience and pupil funding
* The chance to work locally in Rochdale—no long commutes
* Fewer admin demands than classroom roles
* Weekly pay and dedicated support from our team
We’d love to hear from professionals with QTS or a strong background in education and a real desire to make a difference. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently and confident in adapting your teaching style to meet individual needs—especially for pupils working below age-related expectations.
If you're passionate about helping young people grow both academically and personally, and want to shape your working life around what matters to you, this could be the perfect fit.
Apply today with your CV and start supporting learners where it matters most.
