Graduate scheme – Renewables Engineering - London Kick-start your engineering career at the centre of the UK’s transition to low-carbon energy. This opportunity sits within a leading international energy business delivering large-scale renewable projects across the UK. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of clean energy assets while building the technical and commercial foundations of a long-term engineering career. This is a structured 24-month graduate programme with rotations across key project phases, alongside exposure to the wider business. High performers will progress into a permanent engineering role within the renewables function. What you’ll be doing Rotating across development, construction and operational phases of renewable energy projects Supporting the planning and delivery of wind, solar and battery storage projects across the UK Contributing to technical assessments, feasibility studies and engineering design reviews Working closely with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, commercial analysts and environmental specialists Gaining broader business exposure through a rotation outside of the core renewables team Analysing project data and producing reports to support investment and operational decisions Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing ideas to enhance delivery Key criteria Degree of 2:1 or higher in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science or a related discipline (completed or due to be completed) Genuine interest in renewable energy and the transition to a low-carbon economy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Clear communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams Proactive, adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn in varied project environments Full UK driving licence desirable due to site visits Location London (hybrid working model), with occasional travel to project sites across the UK What’s on offer £35,000 starting salary plus performance-related bonus Structured engineering development programme with clear progression opportunities Exposure to end-to-end renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to live operations Supportive, collaborative environment with strong mentoring and learning culture Hybrid working to support flexibility and balance Opportunity to contribute directly to the UK’s energy transition Diversity and inclusion This organisation is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive.
