About youThe successful candidate under the guidance of the Parks and Greenspaces Officer, you will be expected to carry out the following duties:Planning, preparation and planting of flower beds and bordersMowing, Strimming and EdgingPruning, hoeing and planting of shrub beds and bordersHedge cuttingGeneral maintenance of borders and bedsWeed controlLitter picking and emptying of binsDriving various vehicles and equipmentPlay area inspectionsExperience of work in a similar role or horticultural skills would be preferred but a willingness to develop your skills is essentialAbility to work on your own or as part of our teamBe able to work alongside community groupsBe comfortable with technology and basic mobile devicesAbility to drive a 3.5 tonne van and preferably have trailer towing experienceWhat we can offerOur staff are at the heart of what we do and are key to ensuring we deliver Our Council Plan (attached) to make a positive difference to our communities, our economy and our environment.
