The Role:
Worcestershire County Council is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join the Employability and Skills Team as an Employability Specialist, working with young adults aged 18–24 who face complex barriers to employment.
The role involves providing tailored, 1:1 employment support to individuals who may be experiencing challenges such as long-term unemployment, low confidence, mental health difficulties, or limited qualifications.Using the Supported Employment Quality Framework and Individual Placement and Support (IPS) principles, you will support participants to identify their goals and take practical steps towards meaningful, sustainable employment.
You will also work with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities and provide in-work support to help individuals succeed and remain in employment.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a countywide programme that plays a vital role in reducing youth unemployment.You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team and work with a wide range of partners across the local authority, health services, and community organisations.
