Job Summary This organisation is looking for an experienced Delivery / Programme Manager to motivate, coach, and lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering high-value public sector projects. The role focuses on Agile ways of working, continuous improvement, and ensuring successful delivery against the product vision.You will work closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to unblock issues, optimise delivery flows, and improve Agile maturity across teams. Role Objectives Build and manage commercial relationships with clients and contracted suppliers, ensuring good value and effective contractual frameworks Provide hands-on guidance on Agile methodologies, e.g., Scrum, and ensure consistent adoption across teams Mediate conflicts and manage stakeholder expectations across complex, high-risk projects Plan, monitor, and adjust project budgets; track margins and ensure delivery remains on budget Apply lifecycle experience across all phases of the GDS framework; determine appropriate deliverables and timing Optimise delivery momentum by identifying, tracking, and resolving complex risks, issues, and dependencies Challenge and improve organisational processes, implementing new ways of working where appropriate Lead continual planning processes across multiple teams and programmes, coordinating dependencies and delivery plans Requirements Core Experience & Skills: Significant commercial experience as a Project, Programme, or Delivery Manager Financial planning expertise: budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring project finances Ability to support teams in goal setting, milestone tracking, and risk/issue management Proven track record of ensuring delivery of milestones Experience defining team structures and skills to meet project requirements Strategic awareness and high-level planning capabilities Experience supporting recruitment for project teams Contributing to account commercials, sales, and writing Bids / Statements of Work Desirable Skills & Experience: Public sector experience, particularly navigating GDS gates Experience working in secure or high-security environmentsCompetencies:Leadership of cross-functional delivery teams Agile coaching and mentoring Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Customer-focused and collaborative mindset Integrity, honesty, and adaptability Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for SC Clearance Must have right to work in the UK without sponsorship Must have lived in the UK continuously for 5 year
