Team / Role overview

The Regulatory Assessment, Policy Oversight & Document Governance (RAPD) team stands as the unwavering cornerstone of operational integrity and strategic foresight within our enterprise. This role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the vision and strategy relating to the RAPD Team with specific focus on the end-to-end Regulatory Change Management & Applicability (RCAM) process. The role will further support all processes within the RAPD Team including Risk Based Reviews, Policy Adherence, Reg Change Management and Procedures & Training. The role will support and partner with various cross functional stakeholders, including Control Owners, MCA Architects, and Compliance. Excellent communication skills are required to influence a wide range of audiences.

What you'll do

1. Lead regulatory change projects that identifies regulatory requirements and obligations within various business partner and stakeholder groups based on target audience and content complexity
2. Manage complex and highly varying issues with significant potential impact on multiple operations' areas. Individuals at this level may manage a department, product or process with a large amount of independence.
3. Liaise with multiple Operations teams/departments
4. Stays abreast of the organization's operational procedures and best practices in business strategy and process/quality improvements; using such knowledge to recommend customized business solutions to internal clients
5. Serve as subject matter expert in business, planning and analysis for operations area supported
6. Act as advisor or coach to new or lower-level personnel on operational processes/procedures across multiple functions and/or departments.
7. Provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and streamline operational processes
8. Responsible managing overall resource management and allocation of work for assigned operations area for multiple teams/projects

What we need from you

9. Financial services experience in an operations environment and awareness of the financial regulations impacting global investment banks
10. Experience in Risk and Control, 1st Line of Defense (1LOD), Audit or Compliance roles is a plus
11. Well-developed management skills and relevant experience managing operational functions
12. Strong analytical and interpretation to effectively translate regulatory requirements into the larger control framework and identify issues/ control breaks
13. Highly organized and adaptable professional
14. Ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); ability to communicate with external parties
15. Understanding of evolving governance, controls and regulatory requirements relating to operational controls
16. Demonstrated excellence at identifying stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving decision- making/resolution in a collaborative approach which includes vetting/troubleshooting
