Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Project Co-ordinator Location: North Wales Site-based Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (c. 108 weeks) Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Experience: Minimum 5 years Contract Knowledge: NEC4 Option C – essential About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Project Co-ordinator to join our Commercial Team on a major project in Trawsfynydd, North Wales. This role is a unique opportunity to manage all commercial and project co-ordination duties from contract award through to final account under an NEC4 Option C contract. The successful candidate will also provide commercial support to the Estimating and Business Development teams. The position is partially site-based, with an expectation of splitting time approximately 2–3 days per week on site and 2–3 days per week at our Birmingham Head Office. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Duties: Review contracts, employer’s requirements, drawings, warranties, and bonds, providing commercial advice and solutions. Offer ongoing commercial and contractual guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Attend pre-contract, contract, and post-contract meetings. Monitor, record, value, and agree instructions and variations with the client. Prepare, submit, and agree monthly valuations and oversee interim payment settlements. Ensure timely agreement of final account. Monitor costs, prepare cost value reconciliations (CVR), cash flow reporting, and forecasting. Support dispute resolution where required. Prepare tender enquiry packages, manage subcontract orders, and oversee subcontractor payments and final accounts. Drive process improvements and ensure adherence to commercial procedures. Project Co-ordination Duties: Liaise with clients to ensure permissions, notifications, and statutory compliance before works commence. Assist with contract programme management, pre-commencement documentation, H&S paperwork, and site pack preparation. Maintain continuous communication with the Contracts Director and wider project team to ensure timely dissemination of updates and changes. Assist with preparation and updating of the SWMP and PCIF for the project. Key Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying and project coordination. Proven experience working with NEC4 Option C contracts. Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets, valuations, and subcontractors. Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Flexible to travel to and from site as required outside normal office hours. Why Join Us?
