We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Visitor Services Supervisor at Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver excellent visitor experiences while supporting commercial operations, retail activity and day-to-day front-of-house delivery across a unique cultural and scientific destination. The role is based in the busy Planet Pavilion and includes routine weekend duty management as part of a 7-day operation.
You will be responsible for:
1. Supervising visitor services activity to deliver a welcoming, safe and high-quality customer experience across the site.
2. Planning staffing rotas and coordinating day-to-day cover for a 7-day operation, events and peak periods.
3. Supporting staff recruitment, induction, training, performance conversations and clear team communication.
4. Overseeing operational administration, including EPOS activity, cash reconciliation, timesheets and visitor enquiries.
5. Supporting retail presentation, stock processes and online order fulfilment to help drive commercial income.

Essential Criteria
6. Experience supervising or line managing staff in a customer-facing environment.
7. Strong customer service skills and the ability to support a positive visitor experience.
8. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, manage competing demands and work under pressure.
9. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience of administrative processes and cash handling.
10. Availability to work weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings as required by the role.
Desirable Criteria
11. Experience using EPOS systems and/or Oracle Financials.
12. Experience working in a visitor attraction, cultural venue or similarly busy public-facing setting.
13. A current First Aid qualification.
14. An interest in the heritage, culture and science of Jodrell Bank.
