The successful applicant will work with a high level of autonomy to review patients with head injuries throughout the Trust, ensuring their safety and smooth flow through the hospital, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
* Manage a caseload of patients with head injuries and support them to ensure their safety.
* Maintain smooth patient flow through the hospital.
* Work collaboratively and in partnership with other health‑care professionals.
* Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to colleagues to ensure best patient outcomes.
Person Specification
Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
Essential criteria
* Registered nurse on the relevant part of the NMC register.
* Degree qualification, 120 credits at L6, or equivalent evidence of specialist training, experience or portfolio.
* Significant post‑registration experience, including knowledge within the relevant speciality.
* Completion of all Band 5 (preceptorship) competencies.
* Higher Education Institute approved course in supporting learners in practice or equivalent evidence.
* Extensive post‑registration experience within the specialist area.
* Knowledge of current issues within the acute health service.
* Understanding of personal accountability.
