Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Operator Trainer to ensure all production operators are trained and assessed to a high standard of competency. This role supports safe, efficient, and compliant machinery operation across the site and contributes to audit readiness. You will also play a key role in the onboarding process ensuring site inductions and training plans are developed and tracked to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and update the training matrix daily.
* Plan and communicate weekly assessments with line managers.
* Deliver refresher training following incidents or changes.
* Develop standardized training materials and machine-specific assessments.
* Design and implement a repeatable induction programme for new starters.
* Collaborate with HSE, Quality, and Production teams to align training with standards.
* Continuously improve training processes using feedback and ISO 9001 principles.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
* Experience in manufacturing or production, ideally in blending.
* Strong understanding of machinery, safety protocols, and quality standards.
* Proven ability to deliver training and assess competency.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
Desirable:
* Train-the-Trainer certification or equivalent.
* Health & Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH).
* Experience with SOP development and training documentation.
Performance Indicators
* Time to Competency: Average time for new operators to reach full competency.
* Training Completion Rate: Percentage of scheduled training completed on time.
