The Practice
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident farm vet to lead a team dedicated to delivering excellent care to our diverse client base of dairy, beef and sheep farms. With surgeries in Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale, we pride ourselves on blending traditional values with a forward-thinking approach to herd health and farm consultancy.
The Area
We have 1 practice outside of the Lakes and 1 in the Dales, both beautiful areas and only 13 minutes apart. You would be required to work at both sites depending on cases but flexible regarding where you start your day. The area boasts plenty of walking, great for outdoor living and adventure, plus beautiful scenery with excellent transport links.
The Rota
1 in 5 weekends on call, plus 1 weeknight on rota from 5.30pm - 8am. We are happy to accommodate a 4-day or 5-day week depending on your preference. The on-call hours are added to your salary.
The Role
As Clinical Lead, you’ll work closely with our directors to shape the future of our farm services, support and mentor colleagues, and help drive innovation in areas such as data-driven decision-making, preventative health plans, and farmer education. Clinical work will remain a key part of your role, allowing you to stay hands-on while leading by example.
You will be leading a team of 4 farm vets, with no specific farm nurses but all are always happy to help, especially with calving. The overall team consists of 4 farm vets, 8 nurses, and 10 support staff.
