Paraplanner - Harrow

Our client is looking for a talented Paraplanner to join their team, with options to be based in Harrow. This is a key role within the business, providing support to the Wealth Planners on financial strategies, plans and products to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Adherence to Management System & Controls
2. Maintain an up to date knowledge of company policies and procedures
3. Ensure timely execution of adviser instructions
4. Work with colleagues to ensure adherence to company procedures and standards
5. Refer all client complaints and concerns promptly to your Manager, the Adviser and the Compliance Officer
6. Ensure all client documents and relevant correspondence is saved to client files to ensure advice files are complete
7. Maintain records according to the company standard
8. Effective Communication & Support
9. Communicate with colleagues, clients and product providers as needed
10. Attend regular Paraplanning meetings to discuss ongoing work and ensure advice approach across the team is similar
11. Assist the wider team when needed and when there is capacity to do so
12. Preparation of Advice
13. Produce financial planning reports for consideration and signoff by advisers taking into account standards for suitability and quality
14. Analyse client portfolios/products and other relevant information in order to prepare the above
15. Obtain illustrations and supporting documents as required to complete the advice file for presentation to the client
16. Prepare cash flow analysis as required
17. Provide accurate, technical research to ensure that the client file carries all required information to support the recommendations
18. Liaise with the Compliance department as necessary throughout the advice process
19. Be a point of technical reference for advisers
20. Build and maintain various company/ provider panels
21. Reporting
22. Maintain the workflow log including the addition of new work requests and updating of completed work
23. Ensure that work items are closed correctly on the CRM once the work has been carried out


The successful candidate will have experience of the following:

24. Complex IHT and Estate Planning
25. VCT, EIS and BR Products
26. Pension/retirement planning
27. Carry forward and lifetime allowance calculations
28. Structured products
29. Trusts
