We’re partnering with a rapidly scaling, global SaaS company (1,000+ global customers) that’s investing heavily in LLMs, agentic AI, and intelligent automation. This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed AI function and play a key role in shaping its direction from the ground up. They're actively pivoting their core product into AI — not experimenting, but committing.
As their Staff AI Engineer, you'll join a newly formed AI squad working closely with their Director of Engineering, driving innovation across the clients London and US tech teams. You'll design and deploy production-grade AI systems that analyse complex documents, extract structured knowledge, and automate high-value workflows.
It's the perfect role for an AI technical expert who is a hands on engineer. Someone who can be an individual hands on contributor, whilst also supporting high level AI/ML decision making.
What You’ll Do
* Design and deploy LLM-powered systems for document understanding and knowledge extraction
* Build agentic AI workflows that orchestrate models, tools, and structured data
* Develop and optimise end-to-end ML pipelines (training → evaluation → production)
* Leverage platforms like AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and Vertex AI
* Partner with engineering and product teams to embed AI across the platform
* Influence AI architecture, standards, and technical strategy
* Mentor engineers and elevate AI/ML best practices
