A well-respected and manufacturing business (c.£4m turnover, ~30 employees) based in Tamworth, are currently looking for an experienced and capable, hands-on Supply Chain & Production Planner to take ownership of day-to-day production planning, purchasing, and delivery coordination. This is a pivotal role at the centre of operations translating customer demand into achievable production plans, ensuring materials are in place, and keeping orders moving through the business on time. Youll work closely with suppliers, sales, stores and production teams, balancing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Review customer orders and forecasts to build realistic production and purchasing plans
2. Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules aligned to capacity and materials
3. Coordinate procurement of raw materials and external services
4. Actively manage suppliers chasing deliveries, resolving shortages, and mitigating risk
5. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply terms to support cost control
