Job Description
As a Graduate in our Environmental Services teams you will work on innovative projects across a broad range of clients, sectors and scales. You will develop practical strategies for studying, protecting, enhancing, and restoring the natural environment and will support our clients through every stage of the project life‑cycle.
Services and Locations
* Air Quality – London, Basingstoke, Birmingham or Exeter
* Landscape Architecture – London, Exeter, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, or Edinburgh
* Cultural Heritage – London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or Glasgow
Key Project Areas
* Air Quality framework and GLA Air Quality Filters project
* Air dispersion modelling, monitoring and environmental impact assessments
* Regulatory permitting and health‑risk communication
* Sound quality and noise evaluation; acoustic consulting
* Landscape design, feasibility studies and technical reports
* Heritage surveys, archaeological desk‑based assessments and heritage statements
* Marine & Aquatics, Nature Advisory and Acoustics projects
Air Quality Team – Day‑to‑Day Activities
* Advanced dispersion modelling with ADMS and ADMS‑Roads
* Design and implementation of ambient air quality monitoring plans
* Contribution to bids, quotes and tenders
* Collaboration with clients, external stakeholders and project teams
* Data collation, analysis and report preparation
Landscape Architecture Team – Day‑to‑Day Activities
* Landscape consultancy and technical support for projects
* Development of strategic studies, LVIA and TVIA technical reports
* Design development from feasibility to detailed design
* Specification, tender and construction period support, post‑construction management
* Use of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
Cultural Heritage Team – Day‑to‑Day Activities
* Historic map analysis and site visits
* Preparation of heritage baselines and reports
* GIS mapping and archival research
* Support for archaeological desk‑based assessments and heritage statements
Graduate Development Programme
The two‑year programme offers core business and professional skills training, career‑development workshops, mentoring, networking opportunities and support for professional registration.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2:2 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
* Strong numeracy, Excel and GIS data analysis skills
* Enthusiasm for creativity and problem‑solving
* Ability to travel to site and/or client offices when required
* Preferred: Chartered status or nearing professional registration
