About the Role

As Teacher of Computer Science, you will teach across KS3–KS5, with a strong focus on GCSE and A-Level. You will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop computational thinking, programming skill and confident exam technique.

You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:

* Strong computational thinking and problem-solving

* Secure programming skills and algorithmic reasoning

* Understanding of computer systems, networks, cybersecurity and data representation

* Digital literacy and responsible use of technology

* Exam confidence through modelling, deliberate practice and structured feedback

There is scope to contribute to enrichment such as coding clubs, competitions, robotics/engineering projects, STEM events, and university pathway support for students interested in computing-related degrees and careers.

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

* Hold a degree in Computer Science / Computing or a closely related subject

* Hold QTS (e.g. PGCE, School Direct) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

* Have the ability to teach Computer Science confidently to GCSE and A-Level

* Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to academic standards

* Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that stretch and support students

* Contribute positively to departmental planning and wider college life

* Have the legal right to work in the UK
