We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver on behalf of a long-established UK furniture manufacturer. This is a full-time position based from their Doncaster depot, supporting their busy delivery operation.
This is a hands-on role involving the delivery of high-quality furniture, mainly sofas, to trade warehouses and retail locations. Drivers will be working independently, so the ability to safely manage bulky items on your own is essential. This is not a two-person delivery role.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating a Class 2 box vehicle
* Delivering furniture, primarily sofas, to warehouses and retail outlets
* Completing up to 6 local deliveries per shift
* Working within the local region only
* Monday to Friday working pattern no weekend shifts
* No overnight stays required
* Furniture is supplied on wheels to assist with movement
* No stair deliveries; site access is generally straightforward
* Customers may assist with unloading, but drivers must be confident working independently
