Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Salary: £13.25 per hour (paid weekly)
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 3:30pm and Friday, 7:30am – 3:00pm (37 hours per week)
Duration: Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a busy and friendly team based in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has experience in grounds care and landscaping.
The Job:
• Carry out general grounds maintenance duties across public and private spaces.
• Operate machinery and tools including ride-on mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, and blowers.
• Ensure high standards of presentation and upkeep of green areas, pathways, and hedgerows.
• Complete tasks safely and efficiently in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Carry out occasional litter picking, weed control, and leaf clearance.
• Undertake basic daily maintenance checks of machinery.
• Work independently or as part of a small team to complete scheduled tasks.
The Requirements:
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor work.
• Confident using a range of grounds care machinery and hand tools.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working in all weathers.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow work schedules.
