You will focus on asset performance, engineering decision-making, and long-term reliability improvement.

Data & Systems Management
Maintain accurate asset records and manage data within asset management and quality systems.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all inspections, maintenance activities, and non-conformities are properly recorded and closed out.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, procurement, stores, and operations teams.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement improvements to enhance reliability and optimise maintenance processes. What You'll Need

7+ years' experience managing fleet assets, rolling stock, or heavy machinery
Strong understanding of:

Maintenance planning & reliability
Experience with asset management or quality systems (e.g. Q-Pulse or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organisational ability
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
Full UK Driving Licence Desirable

Background in rail, heavy plant, aerospace, or military sectors
Health & Safety qualifications
Experience in engineering change control processes Why Join Us?

This is your opportunity to step into a strategic engineering role, where you will move beyond hands-on maintenance and take ownership of fleet performance.
You'll directly influence reliability, drive engineering decisions, and play a key role in the long-term success of a critical freight fleet.
