Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer
2. BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy or equivalent accredited programme
Desirable criteria
3. Formal evidence of post registration study
Experience
Essential criteria
4. post registration experience of using sophisticated radiotherapy equipment. Treating patients using advanced techniques and competence in IGRT and IMRT technologies.
5. Evidence of continuing education and professional development
Desirable criteria
6. Participation in the delivery in a range of specialised techniques, i.e, IGRT, IMRT, vDIBH, SGRT
7. Demonstrate experience in using equipment associated with pre-treatment including CT scanners, virtual simulation software and clinical mark up
Skills
Essential criteria
8. Ability to act as a deputy for the team leader in their absence. Lead and motivate team members
9. Be an effective communicator across the multi-disciplinary team using both written and spoken English;
10. Able to demonstrate ability and willingness to take decisions and problem solve.
11. Sensitive and considered manner to enable appropriate interaction with all team members, displaying appropriate confidence in own abilities
Desirable criteria
12. Display strong organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
13. Previous demonstrable participation in research and/or audit
14. Demonstrable ability to work in a busy environment and cope when the service is under pressure.
