To provide maintenance both on a planned and reactive basis of Mechanical, Electrical & Building Fabrics, including participation in a 24/7 on call rota. To be familiar with mechanical & electrical applications. To be aware of Safe Systems of Work and its application in accordance with the Wheatley FM standards.
* This role requires the jobholder to have the capability to take command of any works handed down, to control the quality as well as deliver a prompt and safe completion of any works. This role requires the jobholder to have an electrical background with additional experience of mechanical services, joinery, intercom/access control systems and a strong knowledge of building fabrics, also Health & Safety awareness.
* To have the ability to perform maintenance tasks effectively, efficiently and safely. Must be in possession of accreditations/assessment criteria commensurate with this position such as IEE 18 th Edition Regs and competency in mechanical and building services.
Main Duties:
* Participation in a 24/7 on call rota.
* Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on all associated equipment, including fault finding and repair.
* Operation of plant and equipment and inspection of Mechanical & Electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Take control of works issued to you, through to satisfactory completion.
* Provide worksheets and timesheets along with relevant supporting documentation for each task.
* Maintain records on servicing of plant and equipment and plant asset registers.
* Carry out any reasonable request to perform duties that are normal custom and practice in a maintenance environment.
* Obey company rules and maintain a high standard of discipline and dress.
* Stay knowledgeable and up to date in matters relating to Health and Safety; attend company-sponsored training when requested.
* Willing to undertake training in other trades.
* Ability to work unsupervised or with other team members.
* Multi-skilled mobile engineer handling all building and repair works.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
* Technically qualified M&E Maintenance Engineer.
* Demonstrable experience of Access Control Systems.
* Demonstrable experience of managing and implementing change programmes.
* Demonstrable examples of innovation.
* Use of IT tools.
* Good quality and process‑driven person.
* C&G A+B or C&G 2391 test and inspection.
* Good working knowledge in building fabrics.
* Capability to work on a wide range of projects.
The role may be suited to an electrical engineer who has worked within the construction sector and wishes to vary their skills to include joinery, plumbing and general building repairs within the Yorkshire area.
