Description
The key responsibilities for this Senior Bookkeeper position are:
1. Maintaining client books and records on a regular basis, including preparation of VAT returns.
2. Completing bank reconciliations for clients and checking their coding of transactions.
3. Posting payroll journals and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
4. Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
5. Liaising with clients to resolve queries and offer accounting advice.
6. Developing and motivating junior staff by utilizing on-the-job training and assisting them with their work.
7. Administering the reminder system for clients regarding taxes owed and submission deadlines.
Profile
You will be AAT qualified or experienced by relevant work. You will need:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an accounts office or practice.
* Experience using cloud-based accounting software.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
