Stockton-on-Tees, with travel to sites nationwide. Hybrid working available.
Full-time, Permanent Position.
Our client is a well-established construction and building contractor delivering roofing, refurbishment, maintenance and specialist construction projects across the UK. A significant proportion of their work is within the rail sector, where they undertake station refurbishments, roofing works, structural repairs and associated building projects for major rail clients. Operating nationally, they have built a strong reputation for delivering complex projects safely and efficiently, with project values typically ranging from £2m to £3m and reaching up to £10m on larger schemes.
As Health & Safety Manager, you will support the delivery of health, safety and compliance standards across multiple construction and rail projects nationwide. Working alongside the existing Health & Safety Manager, you will provide practical support to site teams and management, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with industry regulations, client requirements and company procedures.
The role is split between site visits, office-based work in Stockton-on-Tees and home working. Ideally, you will spend 2-3 days per week on site, one day in the office and the remaining time working from home.
Applicants should have previous experience within a Health & Safety Manager role in the construction sector. Experience working on rail projects is highly desirable, along with a good understanding of RISQS requirements and rail industry standards. Candidates should be comfortable travelling nationally and working across multiple project locations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a growing contractor with a strong presence in the rail and construction sectors. Offering a varied workload, flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work on projects valued up to £10m, the role provides long-term career stability and the chance to play a key part in the company’s continued growth.
