Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: South of Inverness Start Date: October 2025 Duration: Long-term (2–3 years) Working Hours: Full-time, site-based Rotation: Monday to Friday Overview: Corrie Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client and support a large-scale civils project that would be ideally suited to a self-employed professional seeking long-term project continuity. This temporary role is an excellent opportunity to be part of a major civils development, working closely with senior commercial staff to ensure effective cost management and delivery of key project milestones. Key Responsibilities: • Assisting with measurement, valuation, and cost control of project works • Supporting senior surveyors in preparing tender and contract documents • Monitoring costs, variations, and progress against budgets • Preparing and processing interim applications for payment • Maintaining strong communication with project teams, subcontractors, and clients • Ensuring commercial and contractual compliance at all stages Requirements: • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civils projects • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience • Strong numeracy and analytical skills with attention to detail • Ability to work both independently and as part of a commercial team • Self-motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills • Must be open to working on a self-employed basis Package Includes: • Long-term role on a high-profile civils project (2–3 years) • Competitive day rate (self-employed) – negotiable depending on experience • Opportunity for career progression on a large-scale infrastructure project • Stability and continuity with a reputable contractor To apply please email your fully up-to-date CV Corrie Recruitment Ltd operates as an Employment Agency and as an Employment Business.
