Role: Window & Door Installer
Reporting to: Installations Manager
Role Purpose
The fitter is a key member of Radbury Double Glazing's installation team, responsible for fitting our full range of products — including windows, doors, verandas, carports, glass rooms, sunrooms, roofline, and specialist glazing — to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Product Installation
* Install Radbury's complete product portfolio to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
* Work from drawings, surveys, and technical instructions to ensure correct and precise installation.
* Ensure all work meets relevant regulations (e.g., FENSA, PAS 24, and Building Standards).
Quality & Workmanship
* Maintain exceptional standards of finish and ensure installations are snag-free.
* Report any on-site issues, defects, or discrepancies to the Installations Manager promptly.
* Protect client property and leave all work areas clean and tidy on completion.
Health & Safety
* Follow all Radbury Health & Safety policies, RAMS, and site-specific risk assessments.
* Use appropriate PPE at all times and ensure safe handling of materials and tools.
* Participate in toolbox talks and ongoing safety training.
Customer Service
* Communicate politely and professionally with customers, keeping them informed of progress.
* Represent Radbury's brand values on site at all times.
* Provide feedback to the Installations Manager on customer comments or concerns.
Team Collaboration
* Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and subcontractors as required.
* Share knowledge and skills to develop newer team members.
* Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials when required.
Key Skills & Attributes
* Proven installation experience with windows, doors, verandas, carports, glass rooms, sunrooms, and roofline products.
* Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
* Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
* Physically fit for manual handling and working at height.
* Valid UK driving licence preferred.
Performance Indicators
* Installations completed on time and to standard.
* Positive customer feedback and minimal remedial work.
* Compliance with H&S requirements.
