A globally recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Robot Programmer. Working from their facility in Shropshire, the Robot Programmer will be responsible for: - Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming - Configure robot IO (Input / Output), weld interface and program call - Set up structure for robot programs - Provide robotic support and training as required - Develop and control program structure as jobs progress - Work on Robot drawings and configurations - Train and work with other programmers to enhance skill level - Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications - Order materials for Robots - Anticipate and solve robotic problems (troubleshoot) - Operate various tools and equipment including precision equipment (testers), megger, scope - Fastening down of tooling and robots - Work closely with Robotic Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlines - Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy - Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial robotic systems. - Collaborate with engineers and production staff to understand and define programming requirements. - Develop robot programs using native programming languages. - Collaborate with the automation team to integrate robots into existing manufacturing systems. - Test and validate robot programs to ensure proper functionality and performance. - Identify and resolve programming issues, including debugging and optimization. - Document programming processes, procedures, and changes for reference and training purposes. The candidate should be qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in programming robots.
