So, what will I be doing?
As a Logistics Operative, you'll be joining an integral team in our Supply Chain operations. Working in a distinctive, ambitious, and trusted manufacturing company committed to making great British dairy the right way — forever. Working closely with the Team Manager, you'll be responsible for the intake, storage, picking, packing, control, and dispatch of all stock. This role involves using Counterbalance and Reach trucks. Experience with Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) is desirable, but full training will be provided if needed.
The shift pattern for this position is 4 on 4 off (8pm-8am).
Key responsibilities will include:
* Booking in stock, storing stock, and managing stock-related issues
* Undertaking stock checks
* Ensuring the presentation standard of packed/picked goods meet company and customer requirements
* Ensuring safe use of all equipment, escalating breakdowns or issues to your Team Manager
* Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, following company procedures
* Minimising wastage where possible
* Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace to meet hygiene standards
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
* Good communication skills
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
* Previous experience in a warehouse/packing role is desirable
* Counterbalance and Reach truck training is desirable
* Certificates in basic food hygiene and health & safety are also desirable
