Overview
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust provides services across three sites in Worcester, Redditch and Kidderminster, including general radiography, NM, CT, MRI, interventional, cardiac and dexa. The department includes advanced practice fluoroscopy radiographers and a large team of reporting radiographers led by a Consultant radiographer. The Trust is committed to training and role development and operates a flexible working environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated radiographer with a flexible approach to delivering radiography services who is keen to develop their skills. The department operates a fully shifted 7-day rota with out-of-hours on-call. Sponsorship is not provided at this time.

Main duties and responsibilities
* Work as a radiographer to a high professional standard and provide guidance to junior staff to maintain standards.
* Maintain high quality patient care, manage patient flow and support day-to-day department operations while upholding a clean and safe working environment.
* Work in accordance with ionising radiation regulations and department policies and protocols.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills to foster good working relationships within and outside the department.
* Be flexible regarding hours of work and participate in rosters that may include extended 7-day working and site rotation.
* Demonstrate the HCPC standards of proficiency for Radiographers and standards of conduct, performance and ethics.

Requirements and expectations
* Qualifications: HCPC registration. Degree or Diploma of the College of Radiographers with evidence of CPD.
* Experience: Recent General, A&E, Mobile and Theatre radiography and fluoroscopy experience in the NHS. Single-handed and out-of-hours working.
* Skills/Knowledge: Understanding of IR(ME)R, ability to communicate effectively, quality assurance, teaching and supervision abilities, and computer literacy. Ability to interpret images for referral decisions and to work independently or as part of a team.
* Personal qualities: Flexible, professional, motivated, able to lead a small team when required, calm under pressure, and committed to quality improvement.
Responsibilities include
* Clinical governance and quality/safety duties, reporting issues via appropriate channels and DATIX as required.
* Ensuring radiology equipment is safe to operate and reporting faults to the line manager or site lead.
* Compliance with infection control and local rules for IRR/IRMER and MRI safety where applicable.
* Participation in mandatory training, staff induction, and ongoing professional development; external training and accreditation as applicable (e.g., IV access, PGD where required).
* Support for service delivery, risk assessments, staffing cover, and quality governance activities.
