Job Description
Spencer Ogden have partnered with a leading international Utility company to search for a Onshore Wind Project Manager to join their Onshore Renewables team to work on Renewable Projects Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a project team throughout wind farm projects' lifecycle, from initial development to construction and compliance testing.
- Assisting the Asset Development Team in identifying viable routes to market, such as PPA and CFD Auction processes.
- Maintaining an accurate resource requirement plan and collaborating with other teams to obtain necessary resources, aligning with the company's Strategic Resource Plan.
- Supporting the development and enhancement of expertise and skills within the UK onshore team.
- Taking charge of project health and safety by implementing CDM, PSDP, or Principal Designer processes across projects.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Seven or more years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong leadership skills and a successful track record in managing large, complex projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial and technical aspects of project design and construction.
- Demonstrable expertise in health and safety practices, particularly in relation to CDM.
Desirable:
- Experience working independently and motivating team members to achieve objectives.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, ensuring consistent delivery standards.
- Understanding of contracts (TSAs, BOPs, and EPCs), including management of same, particularly FIDIC.
- Thorough understanding of onshore wind projects, including associated risks.
In terms of qualifications, candidates should possess:
Essential:
- A recognized degree level/third level qualification in engineering.
Desirable:
- Master's in engineering or related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or evidence of progression towards it.
- Project Management qualification/certification.
