Based in Didsbury, your newpany is a successful and well-established organisation who is seeking an experienced and diligent Accounts Assistant to join the team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide essential support to the Finance team and contribute to the timely and accurate production of the monthly management accounts.
Key responsibilities will inlcude:-
1. Helping to manage payments so they are processed correctly and within required timeframes, ensuring all accounts are efficiently maintained.
2. Taking responsibility for the cash book and bank account by carrying out regular reconciliations, as well as preparing and depositing cheques.
3. Looking after the petty cash system, including its day‑to‑day control and reconciliation.
4. Checking invoices, receipts, and financial documents to confirm their accuracy before processing.
5. Managing inputs related to payroll items such as expenses, mileage claims andmission details.
6. Keeping financial records up to date, including journals, ledgers and other documentation connected to costs, disbursements and accounts payable.
7. Assisting with financialpliance -, Vat etc
8. Assisting with various one‑off tasks, reports or projects across the finance function as needed.
