As a Customer Support Specialist, you will develop into an MEP software Subject Matter Expert on our products. You will work with clients to resolve any usage issues they have with our MEP software, providing support on complex issues via live chat, phone, or an email ticketed system. Clients span the construction and infrastructure sector, with project budgets ranging from £100,000’s to tens of millions, requiring best‑in‑class support that you will deliver.
This role supports our Estimating software tools for mechanical & electrical contractors. A background in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing software is not required; excellent communication, a desire to assist clients, and an interest in technology are essential.
What You Will Do
* Develop and maintain high‑level knowledge of MEP software products, remaining an internal and user subject‑matter expert.
* Answer incoming support calls courteously and within defined time‑frames.
* Provide problem‑solving service for customers relating to Estimating software packages.
* Complete customer support tickets and defect tickets in the CRM database.
* Help maintain the list of defects, enhancements, and future enhancements.
* Assist in root‑cause analysis of defects.
* Provide technical support to the Sales Team and other support team members.
* Test new software versions and assist with user documentation, manuals, and help files.
* Liaise with development to achieve set goals.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
* Experience in a customer service or technical support role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong troubleshooting ability and aptitude for learning new software and technology quickly.
* Experience in estimating, purchasing, or contract management within the construction industry is an advantage.
* Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to varied audiences.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong customer‑service orientation, and commitment to timely, quality solutions.
* Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and monitors own work for quality; presents numerical data effectively.
* Well‑organised, self‑directed team player who is open to new ideas and willing to try new things.
