About the Role
The D365 & Power Platform Solution Director will lead strategic delivery and innovation. This is a senior leadership position for a proven expert in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement/CRM), Power Platform, Azure, and Co-Pilot, you would be driving enterprise-scale digital change through AI, advanced analytics, and cloud-native solutions.
The role requires a balance of strategic vision, enterprise delivery leadership, and technical authority, with an ability to inspire teams, win client confidence, and shape future offerings in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Enterprise Project Leadership – Lead multiple complex project lifecycles from inception through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and client objectives.
* Client Engagement & Relationship Building – Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and Director-level forums, fostering trust and collaboration.
* Technical & Strategic Leadership – Provide top-level governance across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure solutions, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to best practices.
* Market & Commercial Insight – Apply commercial acumen to market intelligence, identifying new opportunities, innovative routes to market, and the development of differentiated offerings.
* Thought Leadership – Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader, representing the organisation in industry forums and shaping digital transformation conversations.
* Sales Collaboration – Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to create compelling proposals, deliver impactful demonstrations, and drive business growth.
* Team Leadership & Development – Mentor and support professional growth of team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
* Political & Strategic Awareness – Navigate complex organisational landscapes, balancing conflicting priorities and influencing effectively across all levels.
What We’re Looking For
* Extensive expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM), Power Platform, Azure, and Microsoft Co-Pilot.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft AI and advanced analytics applied in public sector contexts.
* Experience as a hands-on technical expert or solutions architect, with the ability to engage in detailed design and technical discussions when required.
* Deep understanding of solution architecture and integration patterns across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and legacy systems.
* Ability to bridge the gap between technical detail and executive strategy, ensuring solutions are both visionary and practical.
* Track record of leading end-to-end solution design while providing governance and direction for technical delivery teams.
* Proven experience in managing enterprise-scale programmes and ensuring successful delivery.
* Demonstrated ability to engage at C-suite level, presenting confidently and credibly.
* Track record of commercial success, spotting new opportunities and shaping offerings.
