Site Health & Safety Coordinator Location: Cardiff and surrounding areas Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Operations Manager About the Role UnifyHQ is proud to be working in partnership with our client, a leading energy efficiency provider delivering grant-funded retrofit solutions across South Wales. With a growing portfolio of domestic and commercial projects, their focus spans solar PV, battery storage, air source heat pumps and insulation. We are seeking a proactive Site Health & Safety Coordinator to oversee RAMs and health and safety compliance across active sites. This is a field-based role with regular travel across Cardiff and neighbouring regions. The current delivery split is: • 70% Solar PV and Battery Storage • 20% Air Source Heat Pumps • 10% Insulation (loft, cavity, room-in-roof) Key Responsibilities • Conduct site audits and toolbox talks to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal standards • Produce, review and update Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs) for all active projects • Liaise with install teams and subcontractors to promote a safety-first culture • Investigate near misses and incidents, producing clear reports and corrective actions • Maintain site documentation and ensure readiness for external audits • Support onboarding of new operatives with health and safety inductions and PPE checks • Advise on safe installation practices across solar, heat pump and insulation scopes • Collaborate with the Operations team to improve site processes and reduce risk Candidate Profile • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification • Experience in domestic retrofit, renewables or construction environments • Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and site safety protocols • Ideally SSSTS or SMSTS qualified (training can be provided) • Confident communicator with a hands-on approach to site engagement • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally What’s on Offer • Competitive salary (£33,000 to £38,000 depending on experience) • Company vehicle • Pension scheme and paid leave • Opportunity to shape safety culture in a fast-growing renewables business • Supportive team and career development pathways To Apply: If you have the relevant experience and skills, we encourage you to apply by sending your CV.
