We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and compassionate Team Leader to join our team at Coastal Path Care, a brand new family-oriented children's residential home. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting a team of care staff to ensure that the children in our care receive the highest standards of support and care. You will be responsible for supervising the team, supporting the young people, and helping to create a safe, trauma informed, nurturing environment that enables them to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure high standards of care.
* Children's Support: Provide direct care and support to the young people in our home, ensuring their emotional, physical, and developmental needs are met.
* Supervision & Training: Conduct regular supervisions and appraisals for staff members, identify training needs, and ensure that training is up to date.
* Safeguarding: Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed, and take appropriate action in any safeguarding concerns.
* Care Plans: Develop, implement, and review care plans for the children in our care, ensuring they are person-centered and tailored to meet individual needs.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with company policies and legal requirements.
* Communication: Work closely with other professionals, families, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children in our care.
* Health & Safety: Ensure that the home remains a safe environment for both children and staff, managing health and safety procedures effectively.
* Team Development: Foster a positive and supportive team culture, ensuring staff feel motivated and valued in their roles.
Skills & Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent is essential.
* Full, clean driver's license is essential.
* Previous experience in a leadership role within a children's residential care setting is desirable.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and external agencies.
* Ability to supervise, motivate, and support staff to deliver high-quality care.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
* A passion for working with children and young people, and a commitment to their well-being and development.
