We are seeking to recruit a pool of nurses who will work as part of the Hospice Out of Hours Nursing Team. They will be responsible for providing a nursing service to patients who have a cancer diagnosis and are at end-of-life, as well as offering support for their families. Shifts will be allocated based on availability. As this role will involve lone working in patients’ homes, candidates must: Have excellent standards of nursing care. Be able to work on their own initiative. Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills. Have at least two years’ post-registration experience. Live within 50 minutes travelling time (measured by Google Maps) of any address within the catchment area. Payment Details Standard on-call payment: £100 per shift Initial call out: Additional £60 payment Any further call outs: Additional £20 per call out Premiums: Payable on the £100 standard on-call element for Saturdays, Sundays, and SAHS-recognised bank holidays (as per Inpatient Unit guidelines) Shift cancelled due to no patients: £40 (4 hours' pay) if cancelled after 8pm Mileage: Claimable in line with the Expenses Policy at the HMRC rate (currently 45p per mile) for all travel to and from patients’ homes
