Supply Hive Wales is looking for a warm, reliable, and down-to-earth Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils on a 1:1 basis, working with children with additional learning needs and/or behavioural challenges. We’re looking for someone who is calm, thrives in a fast-changing environment, and has a genuine passion for supporting children with ALN. What You’ll Be Doing: Building a positive, trusting relationship with the child you’re supporting. Helping them stay focused and engaged during lessons, adapting tasks where needed. Supporting emotional wellbeing and managing any challenging behaviour calmly. Supporting classroom activities and delivering individual learning plans. Working closely with the class teacher and wider team to ensure consistent support. What You'll Need: Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. A basic understanding of additional learning needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and behavioural challenges). Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). What We Offer: Competitive daily rates and weekly pay.
