Are you a recent English graduate passionate about literature, language, and education? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking an enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, or anyone looking to gain meaningful experience in a classroom setting while supporting students with literacy and English language development.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support students in English lessons across KS3 and KS4, both in-class and through small group/1:1 intervention
* Help deliver engaging literacy support and reading programmes
* Assist in preparing lesson materials and providing tailored learning support
* Promote strong written and verbal communication skills across the curriculum
* Encourage student confidence, participation, and a love for reading and writing
Ideal Candidate:
* A degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related subject
* A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting learning
* Strong grammar, writing, and communication skills
* Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about education
* Previous experience working with children or in schools is desirable but not essential
