Salary: Between £42,114 - £45,977 per annum (depending on experience)

About The Role
The Learning & Teaching Manager is a member of the senior academic team responsible for key workstreams relating to our educational practices, as well as the cultivation of our academic community. The role has specific responsibility for the development of learning, teaching and assessment practices, and evaluating the impact of these enhancements on the student experience, including student continuation and satisfaction metrics.
The post-holder will be the Quality Nominee for the Academic Team, being the conduit between the Quality and Academic functions.
As a member of the Senior Academic Team, the Learning & Teaching Manager will also contribute to the operational management of the academic function and work closely with the Dean and other senior academics in the delivery of the departmental operational plan.
The Learning & Teaching Manager may also be called upon to deputise for the Dean or Programme Leaders to represent ICMP in the external environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
* Institutional lead on curriculum design aligned sector wide practices and validating partners
* Liaise with the Dean, Programme Leaders, Student Services and Academic Registry to co-ordinate teaching and learning enhancements and evaluate their impact on the student experience
* Co-Chair of the LTA Committee
* Support the Dean, Heads of School and Programme Leaders in the development of appropriate staff development that support improvement in the curriculum design and delivery
* Work with the Senior Academic Team, contributing to the day-to-day strategic and operational direction and senior oversight of the academic function.
* Represent the Senior Academic Team at committees, working groups, panels and boards where appropriate
* Model the management behaviours expected of senior managers, managing performance through the appraisal process, and supporting direct reports and others in building their own capacity for leadership and management
* Oversee relevant matters relating to Human Resources and Management and, as required, the search, recruitment and selection of postholders
* Support and manage academic teams in monitoring and implementing key educational enhancement workstreams and initiatives
Quality Assurance, Academic Standards, Evaluation, and Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure a comprehensive and technical understanding of sector wide initiatives in teaching and learning.
* Expert knowledge of the regulatory requirements, compliance with validating external partners.
* Work with Dean, Heads of School and Programme Leaders to develop an effective implementation of Teaching technologies.
* Work with Dean, Heads of School and Programme Leaders to implement internal and external industry related activities including symposia and industrial advisory panels.
* Implement a continuous evaluation strategy for module performance and NSS outcomes reporting as required into the relevant committees and boards.
* Support the Dean with the ongoing implementation of Annual Monitoring processes making contributions as appropriate to internal evaluation and reporting.
* Make contributions as appropriate in the production of external quality submissions, for instance, TEF submissions, OfS consultations and funding bids.
* Chair designated Academic Misconduct Panels, Complaints or Disciplinary Hearings as required.
* Support the Quality Manager to ensure Quality and Standards are met.
* Chair and support relevant Board and Committees.
Other Duties
* Engage in appropriate CPD, research, scholarly and professional practice that enhances the operation of the role, the esteem of the institution, contributes to the student experience, or aids additional revenue generation.
* Attendance at Graduation Ceremonies and other student or staff facing events.
* Liaising as appropriate with professional bodies and other external organisations as required by the Dean or Directors.
* Representing ICMP at external events as directed by the Dean or Directors
