About the Role
Reporting to the Customer Experience Manager, the successful candidate will manage a team of development and support officers. They will work closely with stakeholders across the council in IT, Social Care, Financial Management, Corporate Commissioning and Procurement to ensure the successful procurement, development and maintenance of relevant systems. The role requires extensive knowledge of IT software processes and packages, strong investigative abilities and well‑developed interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
The Development Team supports teams across Customer Experience and Digital Services, including Council Tax, Business Rates and Social Care Finance. Responsibilities include managing, coordinating and developing key IT systems, facilitating implementation, development and support of these systems, and providing essential business development, compliance and administrative support.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will bring proven experience in managing people and teams, specialist expertise in software application support and a strong record of delivering high‑quality services. A broad understanding of legislation and regulations relevant to Local Government and Local Government Finance (Revenues, Benefits, adult care finance) is essential.
