An established professional services firm is hiring ambitious graduates to join its Audit & Assurance Graduate Programme in Edinburgh.
This is a structured, high-quality training programme designed to develop future Chartered Accountants through hands-on audit experience, fully funded professional qualifications (ACA or ICAS), and continuous coaching from experienced audit professionals.
You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries, gaining exposure to real business challenges while building a strong foundation in audit, accounting, and financial assurance.
About the Role
As an Audit Graduate, you will play a key role in delivering statutory audits and assurance engagements while developing your technical knowledge, analytical ability, and professional judgement.
You will split your time between the office and client sites, working closely with audit seniors, managers, and partners, and gradually taking on increased responsibility as your skills grow.
From day one, you will be supported with structured training, mentoring, and exam support as you work towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Assisting with statutory audits for a range of clients
* Attending audit planning and risk assessment meetings
* Gaining an understanding of client businesses and internal controls
* Performing audit testing and substantive procedures
* Using audit software and data analytics tools to identify risks and anomalies
* Reviewing financial statements and supporting working papers
* Communicating with clients to request and verify audit evidence
* Working collaboratively within audit teams to meet deadlines
Key Criteria (Essential)
You’ll be a strong match if you:
* Hold or are on track for a minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree
* Have the legal right to work in the UK from September 2026
* Are interested in pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACA or ICAS)
* Have strong analytical and numerical skills
* Are organised, detail-focused, and methodical
* Communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbal
* Enjoy working as part of a team and building professional relationships
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related subject
* Previous internship, placement, or work experience in finance, accounting, or professional services
* Experience working with data, spreadsheets, or financial information
