Why This Role Matters

The Sale Coordinator will manage all operational aspects of Pop Culture and Private & Iconic sales, ensuring seamless execution from consignment to post-sale. This includes catalog production, compliance, client liaison, and coordination with internal teams. The role requires strong organizational skills and familiarity with pop culture trends, collectibles, and entertainment memorabilia.


How You’ll Make an Impact

* Verify consignment details and liaise with clients for all property-related information, including “Know Your Client” compliance.
* Oversee catalog production: coordinate photography, rights and permissions, and editorial content specific to pop culture items (e.g., celebrity memorabilia, vintage media).
* Act as liaison with Operations for exhibition setup and sale logistics.
* Track property receipt and resolve open issues promptly.
* Manage restoration, framing, and authentication needs for pop culture items.
* Coordinate shipping, export licenses, and client approvals.
* Chair Sale Update Meetings and maintain accurate reporting in Christie’s systems.
* Support sale activities: reserves, condition reports, client interest lists, bids, and ticketing.
* Participate in telephone bidding during auctions.
* Additional duties assigned by manager.


What you’ll bring to the team

* Bachelor’s degree required; coursework in Art History, Media Studies, or Cultural Studies preferred.
* 2+ years’ experience in auction operations, gallery coordination, or entertainment collectibles.
* Knowledge of pop culture markets (film, music, sports, gaming, comics).
* Familiarity with authentication processes for memorabilia and collectibles.
* Strong project management and client service skills.
* Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn Christie’s systems.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
* Experience with cataloging entertainment memorabilia.
* Knowledge of intellectual property rights and licensing.
* Certification in project management (PMP or similar) a plus.
