Full-Time Higher-Level Teaching Assistant Required 40 hours (Monday-Friday) 8am to 4pm Can you engage and support vulnerable and often challenging young people to succeed in their education? Key Objectives Of The Role As one of our higher-level teaching assistants you will: Work under the instruction and guidance of senior education staff, to deliver quality, tailored, learning and teaching. Contribute to the personalised nature of the education provision by regularly communicating with other members of the education team and care staff about each pupils progress and needs. Work across multiple sites and in the local, wider community, when required, as part of the varied education offer at Arnfield Independent School. Essential Skills You Will: Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 3 qualification and above). Have a specialism, or demonstrable experience, in supporting the wider KS2 curriculum. Have experience of engaging reluctant learners and dealing with challenging behaviour. Have an innate ability to relate to young people. Understand the national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes Have a proven ability to be able to manage relationships with a variety of colleagues and external parties. Be able to use a variety of equipment such as practical science kit, art materials etc. Be eligible to work in the UK and have a full, valid manual driving licence with fewer than six penalty points.
