ROLE: Electrical Project Manager – Major Projects (Energy & Utilities)
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Bromsgrove

We're looking for an Electrical Project Manager who will deliver projects within the Major Projects (MP) portfolio, overseeing the construction, installation, and commissioning of new electricity contestable connections up to kV, along with associated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) infrastructure.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Deliver end-to-end project management, ensuring scope, budget, and client expectations are consistently met.
2. Manage a portfolio of projects and maintain accurate internal/external reporting.
3. Collaborate with Business Development, Tendering, and Design teams to ensure designs align with client requirements.
4. Engage clients for design feedback and approval submissions.
5. Coordinate all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and local authorities, ensuring smooth delivery.
6. Plan programmes of work with key client contacts, establishing milestones and deliverables.
7. Monitor financial control, including variations, and keep accurate budget records.
8. Procure labour, subcontractors, materials, and equipment within budget.
9. Prepare detailed work instructions and ensure installation teams are fully briefed.
10. Conduct audits on site activities and suppliers, raising and mitigating non-conformances.
11. Ensure compliance with NRSWA, HAUC, DNO, and IDNO specifications.
12. Undertake final quality audits and submit accurate documentation for client/DNO approval.
13. Promote and enforce a culture of Health, Safety & Quality across all project activities.
14. Represent the company professionally as a Rock ambassador, supporting repeat business opportunities.
15. Provide photographs and documentation for case studies and client satisfaction reviews.
16. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:
17. Project Management qualification – Essential
18. Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
19. Proven experience as a Project Manager within HV/LV installations – Essential
20. Strong knowledge of contestable connections up to kV – Essential
21. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to forward plan – Essential
22. Confident decision-maker, capable of working under pressure – Essential
23. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively at all levels – Essential
24. Skilled in commercial contract awareness and financial control – Essential
25. Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite – Essential
26. Ability to coordinate site activities and ensure safety for all personnel – Essential
Desirable qualifications and experience (wording retained as requested):
27. HNC in a related discipline
28. SSSTS or SMSTS
29. Certificate of competency for DNOs, Electrician, or Electrical Fitter
30. CSCS Card
31. Emergency First Aid
32. NRSWA Supervisor
