Job Description
We are looking for two motivated, target–driven Income Recovery Officers to work with the National Income Service Business Improvement Team. The successful candidates will help maximise income recovery, primarily by engaging customers (by written or verbal communication) to discuss outstanding payments and building strong relationships, while maintaining a focus on quality, performance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to incidents and be available for incident roles when required, with additional pay and full training provided.
* Engage customers through written and verbal contact to discuss outstanding payments.
* Collect and interrogate data, translate evidence into actionable steps and share findings, trends and themes with stakeholders.
* Manage workload effectively as part of a dispersed team, prioritise tasks and meet recovery targets.
* Identify and suggest innovative ideas for improving processes and recovery outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in debt collections or customer service roles is preferred.
* Confidence in producing and analysing data to support work activities.
* Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
* Resilience, ability to flex plans and manage a varied workload.
* Strong focus on delivering good quality outcomes and embracing innovative ideas.
Additional Information
Contract type: Contract. Length of contract: up to 12 months.
Base location is flexible (subject to local facilities agreement). Travel to other Environment Agency offices or meeting venues may occasionally be required.
Interviews are expected to take place via Teams on 8 December.
