Electrical Site Construction Supervisor – LV/HV Projects. Staythorpe BESS, Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG23 5RG). Additional coverage: Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield & M1 Corridor. Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits + Company Vehicle. About G2 Energy: G2 Energy (G2E) is a NERS-accredited Independent Connections Provider (ICP) delivering expert high-voltage electrical and civil engineering solutions. We specialise in Contestable Works up to 132kV, with capability to deliver projects on National Grid infrastructure up to 400kV. We are currently working on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Staythorpe and seek an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to oversee on-site delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business playing a key role in the UK's energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate LV/HV electrical installation works.
* Oversee installation of switchgear, transformers, earthing, ducting, protection systems, and wiring.
* Interpret and deliver works to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81).
* Manage and inspect above- and below-ground installations.
* Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks.
* Review RAMS and subcontractor documentation, ensuring compliance with scope of works.
* Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
* Ensure compliance with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, CDM regulations, HSG47, and health & safety standards.
What We're Looking For
* 5+ years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV essential).
* Strong background with switchgear, transformers, substations, and generators.
* Knowledge of DNO standards, G81 specifications, and industry best practices.
* Experience supervising subcontractors on technical electrical site works.
* Strong understanding of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG47, etc.).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience with works up to 132kV (preferred).
* Familiarity with DNO authorisations and SAP processes (desirable).

* Part P (Defined or Full Scope)
* SMSTS – Site Management Safety Training Scheme
* NRSWA Street Works Supervisor
* Emergency First Aid / Fire Warden
* Full UK Driving Licence
