GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join schools in Nottingham starting September 2025. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in behavioural support, youth work, or those looking to start a rewarding career in education. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant: Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs. Assist in the creation and implementation of behaviour management strategies. Encourage positive behaviour and help students build confidence and resilience. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create supportive learning environments. Record and report on pupils’ progress and behavioural improvements. Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant: Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
