About the Department
The Technology function oversees all information systems and technology capabilities, including system design, network planning, database management, and operations.
The Telecommunications & Network Administration team specializes in coordinating data, voice, and network communications within our Technology Infrastructure area, working with business units, vendors, and consultants.
About the Role
We seek a Network Support Analyst to support our global network infrastructure in London, handling BAU issues and project support.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, work well independently and in teams, and be familiar with incident, change, and problem management, providing regular updates via the service desk.
The role requires establishing strong collaborations within the Enterprise Services department, especially with other IT and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Aberdeen’s global network and Cloud environments.
* Configure and deploy physical and virtual network devices.
* Perform network maintenance, system upgrades, patches, and security updates.
* Monitor network performance, track system resources, and plan capacity.
* Provide 2nd and 3rd line support and troubleshooting.
* Follow configuration and change management policies.
* Implement security policies and coordinate with security teams and vendors.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
* Hands-on experience supporting LAN and WAN technologies across various environments, including Azure.
* Knowledge of Azure Firewalls, NSG Groups, Checkpoint Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, IPS, Cisco Meraki Wireless, load balancing, and SD-WAN technologies.
* Experience deploying network resources through automation and understanding routing protocols.
* Proficiency with network monitoring tools like Azure Monitoring, SolarWinds NPM, NetFlow, ISE, Wireshark.
* Familiarity with change management processes.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with end users, vendors, and technical staff.
