About Us

At Everflow, we're redefining the utility industry. We're an award-winning, fast-growing company, delivering exceptional and environmentally friendly water and waste services to businesses across the UK. Our mission is to simplify utilities, saving our customers time, money, and energy so they can focus on what matters most: achieving their business goals.

Everflow isn't like other companies. Sure, we have perks like free coffee, break rooms, and ping pong tables, but what truly sets us apart is our values. We encourage our people to be their authentic selves and embrace the freedom to innovate. At Everflow, it's not just about delivering exceptional results for our customers; it's about cultivating a fulfilling, balanced work environment where great things happen.

The Role

In 2023, we opened our sleek Peterlee office to house our expanding team in style. This modern space features high-tech meeting areas, a café, and plenty of social spaces (think arcade games, table tennis, and pool tables).

As a Credit and Collections Analyst, reporting to the Senior Credit Manager, you'll play a key role in driving cash collection, analysing account data, and supporting the overall effectiveness of the credit and collections processes.

About You

You're someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and building strong relationships to help keep things running smoothly. You bring a mix of curiosity, commercial awareness, and communication skills to the table — and you're not afraid to dig into the detail to get results. Specifically, you are:

* Commercially minded – you get how credit and collections impact the bigger picture and know how to strike the right balance between risk and good customer outcomes.
* A clear communicator – you're comfortable having tricky conversations when needed, and you do it with tact and professionalism, tailoring your approach to the right audience.
* Analytical by nature – you like spotting patterns, getting into the numbers, and using insights to make smart, informed decisions.
* Confident with systems and data – you're comfortable working with Excel, systems, and reporting tools, and you know how to use them to stay organised and drive results.

What You'll Do

* Deliver regular reporting and provide ad hoc analysis, highlighting trends and offering ideas or solutions to address key issues and opportunities.
* Use advanced data analysis and multiple data sources to uncover risks and identify areas for improvement in existing processes and policies.

* Develop and maintain a mix of automated and manual dashboards to support performance tracking and insights sharing.

* Contribute to strategic projects by supporting data modelling, validating assumptions, and monitoring outcomes against targets.
* Maintain high standards of data accuracy by conducting regular checks, reconciliations, and system updates, including loading scheduled file uploads where applicable.
* Lead in-depth investigations into specific challenges and collaborate with other teams to coordinate follow-up actions and resolutions.
* Conduct root cause analysis to explain KPI fluctuations or underperformance, identifying key blockers within the collections process.
* Evaluate historical collections data to help forecast outcomes, assess delinquency risk, and anticipate bad debt exposure.
* Suggest improvements to existing processes, contact strategies, or system workflows to drive operational efficiency.
* Create and maintain documentation for standard procedures and data definitions to support process consistency and team knowledge sharing.
* Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate these effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Bring…

* A strong analytical mindset with a knack for turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.
* Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation tools.
* Confident in making decisions, with the resilience and integrity to tackle challenges directly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and influence key stakeholders.
* Solid experience in analysing trends, monitoring performance, and applying data-driven techniques to support business goals.
* High attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy in everything you do.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.
* Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Hands-on experience using SQL (or similar tools) to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.

Great but not essential…

* Someone that can be in our Peterlee offices 2 days a week.
* Experience in credit or collections.
* Experience in a utilities environment.
* Prior experience in payments, collections, or any financial analytics is highly desirable.
* Experience with automation tools for workflow optimisation.
* Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations and insight decks.
* Experience working with Python.
* Proficiency in using data visualisation and process analysis tools such as Power BI, Visio, or similar platforms.
