Overview
We are looking for a qualified clinical psychologist to join our friendly and supportive team at the Greenfield Centre. The post is 0.8 WTE [30 hours per week] for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate will hold a caseload of clients for assessment, formulation and 1-1 psychological therapy. There are opportunities to deliver group interventions as well as to supervise other psychological practitioners in the team, who are also delivering psychological interventions. The work is varied and there are opportunities to develop specific areas of interest relevant to the CMHT as well as contribute to service development, research and audit.
To work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team offering advice, joint working and supervision of psychology and non-psychology colleagues who contribute to the pathway. Much of this work will be within the team informing the best service delivery for our service users.
Accountable for own professional practice in the delivery of highly specialist psychological care to service users with highly complex mental health conditions which may include challenging behaviours.
To be compassionate in meeting the needs of service users, their carers and families.
To provide training and supervision to less experienced colleagues within the designated psychology service and to other members of the multidisciplinary team.
To undertake formal research as an integral part of the job and act as field supervisor to doctorate trainees.
